From Firefighter to Trailblazer: How Jordan Nukunuku is Using CurraNZ to Chase Ultra Dreams

Our customer of the month is Jordan Nukunuku from Fairfield, Queensland. Jordan is a Kiwi who has lived most of his life in Australia. A full-time Fire Technician who heard about CurraNZ from several of our ambassadors, Jordan decided to give it a go.

He says, "Thank you for creating this product as I have a few friends (Ronnie Sparke and Katie Dall) who recommended CurraNZ.

"After using it the past week I have noticed some huge gains.

"I started taking it straight after the Tarawera 100 Miler and found it gave me an incredible boost to my post-event recovery - my inflammation decreased dramatically. Usually it would take me quite a while to recover after a long endurance race like that but with CurraNZ I found myself recovering quicker.

"I’m back training again now for my next event in May, the Down Under 135."

Jordan started his ultra-running journey during COVID when hiking through the mountains and developed a passion for trail running. He came in 14th place recently at the Tarawera Miler and hopes to one day be the first Maori runner to claim first place on the podium.

"Trail running has given me so much purpose in life and connected me to so many wonderful people and I hope to share that with others. But I hope to inspire Maori back home in New Zealand as that is my native culture."

Jordan has big goals for 2025 and 2026, with he hopes to podium at Tarawera next year and then build towards Cocodona 250 in 2026.
