Ambassador races to British Indoor Championship title using CurraNZ

    on March 02, 2020

    CURRANZ has a new Champion.

George Mills, a 20-year-old middle-distance runner for Nike and ambassador for CurraNZ, raced to an impressive success in the 1500m at the British Indoor Athletics Championships last month, winning by a wide margin.

A track star for Britain as a Junior, George has been rebuilding his career after a series of serious injuries forced him off the competitive scene for two years.

The Sports and Exercise Science student has been using CurraNZ as his secret weapon for six months, which he describes as ‘amazing’.

He says: “I’m delighted to have won the British Indoor Championship and now I have to keep improving.

“At the minute I’m training at least twice a day, six days a week. On three days during the training week, I train three times a day, including a running session, a gym session and recovery sessions.

“I started using CurraNZ six months ago and it has been amazing. It massively helps with recovery and I’ve been able to train hard without picking up any injuries.

“The narrow margins are so important in sport so athletes are always looking for an edge. CurraNZ is completely natural, certified for use in professional sport and it’s backed up by science, too.”

The University of Brighton student shot to prominence when winning the European Junior Championship for 800m when just 17 and was ranked third in the world at the distance, too. He represented England in the Commonwealth Youth Games but suffered two stress fractures in 2017 and a hamstring tear in 2018.

He says: “It took me a long time to get over these injuries but I continued to work hard in the gym, on the bike or in the pool so that I would be in the best place possible when I got back to racing.”

Last year, he returned to competition to set a new PB for the 1500m, become the England Mile Champion and was second at the U23 National Championships for 800m.

This success takes him another step closer to his next goal, of qualifying for Tokyo, with the Olympic trials for the British team later this summer.
