Blackcurrants earn their place on Australian Institute of Sport supplement classification system

AFTER many years of pioneering research undertaken by CurraNZ, blackcurrants have been included on the Australian Institute of Sport’s food and supplement classification system.

Respected the world over, this register ranks ingredients according to the scientific evidence underpinning their application in sport and is incredibly difficult to attain.

With over 12 gold-standard, published peer-reviewed studies and another dozen due out this year, CurraNZ is the only blackcurrant brand that is the subject of such intense international research interest.

With its reputation growing in Australia, athletes and practitioners are joining the UK and New Zealand fan base, including Pip Taylor, Sports Performance Dietitian and Sports Dietitian for the Brisbane Lions.

Pip says: “I use CurraNZ strategically with many of my clients and athletes, along with a solid nutrition plan to better support optimal health and performance.

"Specifically, I have found CurraNZ beneficial during periods of high stress or training/competition loads, to help speed recovery and reduce risk of illness, as well as during the recovery from injury.”
