CurraNZ-powered Steelers hold on to seal victory against Taranaki

THE CurraNZ-powered Counties Manukau PIC Steelers took out the win against Taranaki on Saturday in the Championship division of the Mitre 10 Cup.
It’s been a tough competition for Counties so far this season, but in a nail-biting finish, our boys took the lead in the 76th minute.
They held their nerve against an onslaught of attacks from a determined Taranaki side 10m out from their try line during the final minutes, which went into extra time, with Counties repelling several dives for the try line.
Fans could sense the 'curse of the season' returning - despite strong play and a good lead on the scoreboard in their games, the team's efforts have often ended in defeat.
However, not today. This time the scoreline read 31-27 in favour of the red, black and white jerseys and a jubilant Counties retired to celebrate a much sought after win.

Winger Kris Kuridrani (pictured left, main image and above right with former All Black Kieren Read against Wellington the previous weekend) has been supplementing with CurraNZ for two seasons. Having run in a cracking try on Saturday, Kris gave CurraNZ a nice shout-out after the game:

"Thank you Curranz for helping me recover quicker for training sessions and my games, feeling fresh for the next day makes it easier to perform well."
