It's official! NZ blackcurrants are now the world's most researched berry, with CurraNZ leading the charge

    on May 31, 2019

BLACKCURRANTS are coming out top for the sheer volume of sports and health research being conducted worldwide. The United States National Library of Medicine’s database of global life science and biomedical research now contains more articles on blackcurrants than any other berry, including blueberry, bilberry, acai or goji.

CurraNZ has the most citations of any individual product within the body of global research, with over a dozen peer-reviewed, published papers to date, with many more due out this year, and over 20 further studies in the pipeline.

Blackcurrants have the highest anthocyanin content among commonly consumed fruits and vegetables – and are a potent ‘purple’ to include in your regular diet.

Their unique combination and high concentration of red and blue anthocyanins – not found in other fruits – can activate the human body’s naturally occurring antioxidant and other defence systems, allowing it to better handle everyday stressors, increased activity and age-related health issues.

New Zealand blackcurrants have up to twice the anthocyanin content of British-grown berries, and have up to eight times the antioxidant power of blueberries.

CurraNZ is a maximum-strength anthocyanin extract with only 1.2 calories per capsule, and the equivalent of having 85 sjupercharged blackcurrants per dose.
